The story of the family business, “Shofarot Artsaino” (Hebrew for “Shofars of our Land”), began with Yehezkel Suliman who immigrated to Israel from Iraq in 1951.

Yehezkel learned the art of making Shofars in the 1960s and since then has become one of only a few such craftsman. He is currently the oldest active Shofar manufacturer in Israel.

The secrets of this profession have been handed down to future generations through Uri Suliman, who is continuing the family tradition and expanding the factory’s activities beyond Israel’s borders.

For years, “Shofarot Artsaino” has been a leader among the few companies making Shofars. The shop produces all varieties of Shofars for wholesalers and for individual customers upon personal request.

The knowledge and experience and the love of the profession result in the creation of Shofars of especially high quality.
